To enhance the learning ability, skill and to impart practical knowledge about the theoretical concepts, the school has a large number of modern lab systems including those of Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Biology and Mathematics for better understanding through observation, experimentation and demonstration.


Chemistry plays an important role in all disciplines of Engineering. So utmost care has been excercised in its teaching. Chemistry Lab is well equipped with latest instruments such as digital pH meter, polarimeter, distiled water plant, magnetic stirrer, electric oven, muffle furnace, lass ware, chemicals, organic and inorganic compounds to understand the chemical behavior of substances.

SIET has modern instruments and equipment’s for experiments. Physics provides an in-depth knowledge of fundamental laws and their applications in various systems. It also helps to predict and explain natural phenomena. It has a laboratory housing many experimental setups such as Hall’s experiment, energy band gap, magnetic field variation, viscosity of liquids, etc. It also has a dark room for optics experiments such as spectrometer, polarimeter, fresnel biprism, Newton’s ring, nodal slide assembly, etc.


SIET has large electrical lab with modern equipment’s and instruments. Electrical & Electronics engineering play an important role in all the branches of Engineering and Science. It deals with electrical transducers, electronic instrumentation, signal conditioning. Microprocessors, micro-controllers, PC based instrumentation system, power electronics & control systems, telemetry, data transmission, etc.


SIET’s well equipped &  fully air-conditioned centralized Computer Centre is equipped with a 50 MBPS leased line internet connection, over 400 computers with TFT monitors, online printers, online UPS and numerous other computer peripherals. The RRGI computer labs are consistently evolving with technological progress – in line with the goal of creating the technocrats of tomorrow at the best college in Lucknow.

Computers have advanced level softwares Oracle,Adobe flash, Corel Draw, Photoshop, Microsoft visual studio, WAMP server, SQL server, C, C++, Borland, Microsoft MSDN, case tools multimedia software suit, visual FoxPro etc, new software are Continuously being procured to update the design and computational capabilities.

SIET has Mechanical Engineering Lab well equipped with machines & equipment related to design, structural, architectural, installation, operational, troubleshooting and maintenance systems of industries like automobile, refrigeration, air conditioning, measurement etc.

Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest fields of engineering, yet it is constantly evolving through its applications in emerging areas. Today, mechanical engineers are not only trained in traditional fields such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer, machine design, and controls, but they also learn how to apply the fundamental principles from engineering, physics, chemistry and mathematics to address complex problems in interdisciplinary areas such as biomedical engineering and nanotechnology. Mechanical engineering also is one of the broadest fields of engineering and its graduates find jobs in various industries such as energy, aerospace, manufacturing, robotics, and medical devices.


CNC machining is a manufacturing process in which pre-programmed computer software dictates the movement of factory tools and machinery. The process can be used to control a range of complex machinery, from grinders and lathes to mills and routers. With CNC machining, three-dimensional cutting tasks can be accomplished in a single set of prompts.

Short for “computer numerical control,” the CNC process runs in contrast to — and thereby supersedes — the limitations of manual control, where live operators are needed to prompt and guide the commands of machining tools via levers, buttons and wheels. To the onlooker, a CNC system might resemble a regular set of computer components, but the software programs and consoles employed in CNC machining distinguish it from all other forms of computation.


Civil Engineering is the art of directing the sources of power in nature for the use and convenience of man, for improvement of quality of life. The theory and practice of Civil Engineering is basically applied in the construction of buildings & structures, roads, bridges, aqueducts, canals, river navigation ports, docks and harbours.

At SIET,  B.Tech course in Civil Engineering is offered with intake capacity of 30.The goal of the department is to produce high quality technical manpower needed by industry, R&D organizations  and academic institutions and above all to meet the engineering needs of the nation.

The faculty comprises of galaxies of qualified and experienced teachers with Ph.D and M Tech from premier institutions like IITs and NITs. The academic activities of the Department emphasize deep understanding of fundamental principles, development of creative ability to handle the challenges of Civil Engineering and the analytical ability to solve problems which are interdisciplinary in nature.

The Department also encourages its students to engage in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, essential for development and nurturing of team spirit, developing organizational skills and inculcating good moral values and positive work culture.
